1972 FORD BRONCO – Method Race Wheels

To say Greg “Rojo” DiStefano is a winner is an understatement. Just to list a few of his accomplishments: he’s a boat captain of private sport fishing boat where he caught a 400-plus pound bluefin tuna, which at the time was a world record and won the boat a cool million dollars, he won 1st in the 2018 Norra Evolution Unlimited truck 8th overall, he won 2nd Evolution Unlimited Truck 3rd overall in the 2017 Norra, he won 1st Evolution Unlimited Truck 2nd overall in 2016 and conquered other races such as the Baja. As you would expect, Greg also has good taste in cars. Enter his 1972 Ford Bronco.

Although originally a San Clemente, CA native, you’ll likely find Greg in Cabo San Lucas where he spends most of his time and where the Bronco was completed. The exterior starts off with custom front and rear bumpers mounted to the body sprayed with a beautiful Magnetic Metallic Grey paint with a Gloss Black on top. The stance is courtesy of a 3.5” suspension lift with Fox 2.0 reservoir shocks. Your eyes are then drawn to the 17x8.5” Method Race Wheels 305 Street Series wheel in machined black wrapped around 35” BFG KM3 rubber. For adventures at night, the Ford Bronco gets a Baja Designs lighting kit controlled by Switch-Pros.

The cockpit of the car has been tastefully modified with a BC Bronco dash, Corbeau seats, and a custom sound system controlled by the retrofitted iPad console. Pop the hood and you’ll find 1998 Ford Explorer 5.0L fuel injected engine mated to a 4R70W transmission. Power is distributed through a Dana 20 transfer case. To keep things cool inside the engine bay, a CBR radiator and trans cooler was installed.

The list of customizations on this 1972 Ford Bronco is just as long Greg’s winning history. A winner could always benefit from being lighter, stronger and faster.
